Dr. Mueen Ahmed

Assistant Professor

Dr Mueen Ahmed has a PhD in Management focusing on strategy and entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy). His research delineates everyday organising practices that play a resource-provisioning role in entrepreneurial support organisations (ESOs). He subscribes to a practice-based ontology derived from a sociological movement towards emphasizing materiality, temporality, and the processual nature of social phenomena that places primacy on the collective relational enactment of mundane daily doings by various ESO practitioners as conduits for the organisation(s) (in) creation. My research output is geared towards delivering insights and frameworks relevant to policymakers, academicians, and practitioners. He has co-authored case studies in entrepreneurship based on field-based research published by Ivey (Canada) and listed in the Harvard Business School Publishing repository. Practitioners are utilising his cases in at least seven countries, including Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins. His work on business groups in emerging economies has been published in reputed ABDC, ABS, and Scopus-listed peer-reviewed journals and presented at top management conferences in India and the world.

He has previously worked in innovation ecosystems enablers like the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C‑CAMP) that is part of the Bangalore Life-Sciences Cluster (BLiSc). He has professional experience in the publishing industry as a content creator (academic author) and reviewer (editor)
