Assistant Professor

Dr. Anantha Ramu M R obtained his Doctoral Degree (Ph.D) in Economics from University of Mysore through Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru, India. His doctoral thesis was on Impact of Fiscal Deficit on Select Macroeconomic Variables: Evidence from India’. He received his Master’s in Economics from Bangalore University, Bengaluru in 2010 by ranking second to the university. He awarded with UGC-JRF & NET in Economics in 2010. He awarded with Prof. VKRV Rao Memorial Prize in Economics’ by adjudging his thesis as the Best Thesis’ completed at Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru during 2014 – 2019 in Economics.

His broad areas of interest in teaching and research include macroeconomics and public economics. His research work has been published in various national and international peer reviewed journals.
