The inauguration of DEEKSHARAMBH 2024 organized by Directorate of Student Affairs, M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) was held on 15^th July 2024 in Gnanagangothri Campus. Students from various courses like B.B.A, B.Com. (Hons), B.H.M, B. Design, B.A. LL. B, B. Sc. LL. B. (Cyber Security), LL. B, B. Sc. (Biotechnology, Food Processing Technology, Psychology, Data Science & Analytics, Applied Economics, Computational Social Science) attended the event. 

Dr. Medha Y Rao, Dean-Academics welcomed the gathering and gave an overview of academic activities in the university. Dr. T Hemant, Joint Registrar and Director-Admissions thanked the parents and students for choosing RUAS for their higher education. Dr. A.G. Prathab, Controller of Examination spoke on examinations and assessment protocols. Dr. Govind R Kadambi, Pro Vice Chancellor (Research) gave a presentation on transition from school to university life. Dr. Om Prakash Kharbanda, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences) spoke on Professionalism to the students followed by Dr. Anbalagan Heroji, Director-Training & Placement address. The Deans of all the faculties briefly addressed the audience. Finally, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Raina, Vice Chancellor summed up the proceedings. The program was compered by Ms. Ankita Sharma, Asst. Prof. Faculty of Hospitality Management & Catering Technology. 

Post lunch, two sessions were held, the first by Dr. Mamatha B.R, IAS on Safe Campuses, Happy Students and the second one by Mr. Goutham Nagraj, Manager-Data Centre on ERP. The submission of anti-ragging affidavits by students and parents and verification and submission of documents were the other activities which were undertaken after the two sessions were done.

DEEKSHARAMBH 2024 would continue till 31^st July 2024 in which varied and interesting sessions are planned to make the students adapt to the new surroundings, make friends and interact with their teachers.
