Blood Donation Drive - World Doctor’s Day - Rotaract RUAS


July 2, 2024 — The Rotary Club of Bangalore Udyog, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Warriors, Rotaract Club of RUAS, and the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Center at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, organized a Blood Donation Drive at the Student Activity Centre, Ramaiah Technology Campus, in celebration of National Doctor’s Day. The event aimed to promote the noble cause of blood donation to save lives.

Event Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Pre-Donation Examination: To ensure a secure donation process, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital conducted thorough pre-donation examinations for all volunteers.
  • Blood Collection: A total of 20 units of blood were collected from students, faculty, and staff.
  • Significant Contribution: The collected blood will help meet the ongoing demand for blood in hospitals.
  • Closing Ceremony: The event concluded with a ceremony where certificates of appreciation were awarded to the donors, volunteers, and organizers. Representatives from the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Center expressed their gratitude for the successful collaboration.
