Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences has joined the ​“Alternative 2024 — Youth For Green and Vibrant Bengaluru” initiative of Vimove Foundation as Lead Academic Partner. This event is being celebrated commemorating ​“World Environment Day”. Vimove Foundation, a Section 8 Not For Profit company working for social upliftment in education-environment innovation projects across Karnataka. This event is being supported by State NSS Cell, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, GoK, Environment Dept./KSPCB, Rotary District 3192, Rotaract District 3192.

Alternative is the Annual Signature Eco-awareness Initiative of Vimove Foundation and this year the theme is on ​“Youth For Green and Vibrant Bengaluru — ​“ALTERNATIVE ​‘24”

As a part of the event Inspiring video making competition has begun from April 1^st 2024 https://​alter​na​tive​.net​.in and the grand finale concluding on Saturday June 1^st 2024. This endeavor is aimed to take forward #brandbengaluru Vision through the voice of Bengaluru Youth. Interested students/​faculty members can participate in this reel making competition. Team can consist of 2 – 6 members and Video length can be — 1 to 3 Minutes. Video can be created in following thematic areas.

Themes

1) Transportation Transformation: Rethinking Mobility in Cities

2) Water Conservation

3) Necessity of Green Spaces (Afforestation, Parks, Urban Terrace Gardening Etc.,)

4) Waste Management Solutions

5) Green Energy Solution

Winners will be rewarded with cash prize, memento and the video will be on display across websites of government organizations and Namma Metro for a period of 1 year. Requesting you to pass on the information to interested students and encourage them to participate in the initiative.
